Gorgeous French Lace Mermaid Wedding Dress with Strapless Sweetheart Neckline
Vera Wang Haute Couture Iconic Leda Wedding Dress
I felt so gracious and elegant! And the photos are magnificent!
Leda is an ivory, strapless mermaid floating lace gown, over web lace. The intricate and delicate rose and tulip lace lays over the webbed lace to create a gorgeous three-dimensional, yet extremely light look.
At the top of the tight bodice sits a wispy tulle piece, which gives the illusion of something soft floating on the skin.
At the bottom of the bodice, the skirt opens up into an insane, romantic full skirt, with layers upon layers of bias-cut, tiered pieces of horsehair and tulle.
The bustle of the dress is remarkable, and the skirt folds up into what looks like flowers in the back.
Comes with a complimentary handmade veil from the same lace as the dress (worth $1450).
Was not altered - it was custom-made from scratch for my shape in Vera Wang New York Atelier by their fairy seamstresses. The lace was hand embraided.
Both dress and veil are in perfect condition. The dress was professionally cleaned and preserved by Wedding Gown Preservation Co previously recommended by The Knot, before they made their own company. The veil is in the original Vera Wang garment bag.
The dress is size US6 Label, US2-4 Street (UK 8-10). The bride is 5'7" tall (with shoes under the dress 5'11"), wears a 34B size bra, and has 38" hips.
**I have provided Nearly Newlywed with photos of the original certificate of authenticity for both the dress and the veil.
