Beautiful Sparkly Moonstone Detail and Lace Mermaid Wedding Dress
I absolutely loved wearing this bridal gown! It was important to me that I felt elegant and romantic, while still being comfortable. This dress exceeded all of those expectations!
It is lightweight, and fitted, but not restrictive. The gown is fully lined from the knee-up, but flirty and a bit sheer below the knee in the sunlight. The top has a beautiful silhouette and the straps are no-fuss. I didn't have to worry about adjusting myself throughout the day - just a perfectly comfortable style. The lace detailing is gorgeous and extremely flattering in the front and on the booty. I love that it has just a small amount of beading detail at the waist belt and straps for elegance, but the lace definitely takes center stage. I also love that the ivory lace over the nude layers underneath gives the gown a unique and warm coloring.
Alterations: I am 5'3" and wore flat sandals with this dress. The length in the front was shortened to this height. I also had one thick tulle layer removed from the knee-down portion of the dress so that the chapel train laid more nicely in the back. I am a 34B in bra size. I had cups sewn into the top so that no bra was needed. The straps were also taken up to fit better. The gown was taken in some around the waist and hips to give a more tailored, fitted mermaid look. I also had buttons and loops added in the back for bustling.
Condition: The dress was only worn for a few hours for an indoor ceremony and dinner reception. (Due to Covid, there was no dancing or party after. So no opportunities for drink spilling, sweating, or stretching of the dress!) The only flaw is some very slight discoloration at the edge seams of the armpit areas. (It looks to be from my spray tan.)
