Beautiful Sparkling Lace Strapless Sweetheart Fit and Flare Wedding Dress
I fell in love with my wedding dress in early March 2021, at Reddington Bridal Dress Salon in Park Ridge, IL, for a wedding when I thought I was getting married in Greece October 2021 - We actually ended up getting married in Chicago August 28, 2021.
The dress is "off the rack" and when I tried it on for the first time, I knew this was it! I loved it's lace, the ivory and mocha layer underneath together, the sparkle on the lace, the layer of sparkle under the dress that just shimmers in person, it was everything I wanted and didn't think it was the dress shape and style I would end up with, but I loved it!
It also fit perfectly when I tried it on (that never happens) so it was destiny! I felt magical in this dress and instantly felt like a princess and like I never had before, and I did not really want to feel like a princess on my wedding day, but this was a different something special feel- I knew it was the dress!
The dress is a fit and flare design with a sweetheart neckline. It is an ivory color with mocha underneath.
The dress is a size 18, I'm 5'8 and a true size 12 and Large top and bottom in street clothes. When I bought the dress, it was a little long and big in the top area, but that was about it.
Alterations: The dress was taken in, in the chest area and given cup supporters in the chest. The bottom was trimmed and hemmed appropriately to what shoes I was wearing, I wore Birkenstock Sandals, she also hemmed the front a bit to not drag when I was walking. Buttons were placed at the back for the bustle. My seamstress modified the lace 'boning' in the dress that was underneath to smooth it out a bit.

Horsehair trim maintains the shape of the skirt with a lightweight feel, as it continues into a lush train for a dramatic finish.
