Beautiful Strapless Lace Mermaid Wedding Dress
My gown was part of the "As you Wish" 2021 Mira Zwillinger collection. It is one of their newest designs and is mostly only available during Mira trunk shows which is how I got mine. This is not a dress that you can walk into a store and find.
It is a modern, strapless chantilly lace mermaid gown with an overall delicate, subtle shimmer. This design combined with the 3D hand-sewn flowers made for the most gorgeous, unique, and special wedding dress. It felt conservative and classy for the ceremony, but also fun, seductive, and comfortable for the party! It fits like a glove and is extremely flattering.
I would describe my body as pear-shaped and do not normally like tight things, but it hugs you and holds you in at the top, and flares out at the right place to give the perfect hourglass shape.
After dry cleaning, the dress essentially looks brand new. During the party, it can be easily bustled so the gorgeous train won't be stepped on or interfere with dancing!
In terms of alterations, I removed the belt and shortened the bottom so I was able to walk and dance without tripping. The dress is made to be sheer, but I added a lining underneath because I felt more comfortable.
I have a whole album of photos that I can share to better see the dress. It was too hard to only pick a few!
Condition:
- There is a 6-8" tear located near where the dress bustles. (Repairing a tear of that size shouldn't be too hard for a seamstress since the material is already quite busy).
- There is a very small tear at the hem as well that will be a fairly simple fix with a trim or a couple of stitches.
