Elegant Crepe Fit and Flare Wedding Dress with Illusion Back and Venice Lace Details
I felt incredible in this dress! It was the perfect combination of elegance and sexiness.
This should fit like a glove if you wear a size 6. The material is so soft and forgiving -- the lining underneath keeps the dress flat against your body. The bust has built-in cups and wire which gave me great structure.
Needed minimal alterations -- my seamstress tightened the shoulder straps by 1/2 inch and trimmed the inner lining by 2 inches so my heels wouldn't get caught while dancing. Additionally, because I was concerned that the bustle wouldn't be strong enough, we moved the bustle buttons to a more flattering location (just below my rear) and added an additional button to spread out the weight. The lace train is heavy, but it bustled very nicely. One of the tiny bustle threads popped when I wore it.
I had the dress professionally cleaned 3 weeks after wearing it. There are three faint tear drop stains on the front left near the hip. At the very bottom of the dress, you can see faint dark smudges. I did not attempt to use Grandma's Secret Spot cleaner but the ladies at the bridal boutique swear by it. Pro-tip -- you'll want a button hook helper to put this dress on and take it off! I can throw mine in with the dress when I ship it to you if you need one, just let NearlyNewlywed.com know when you purchase the dress :).
