This beautiful taffeta dress from BHLDN gave me the clean, modern lines I wanted without sacrificing the "something extra" feeling I'd imagined for my special day.
The fitted bodice has deep Vs in both front and back and is hand-embroidered with a floral design. Illusion mesh covers the front V-neck and the sides of the bodice for security. The full A-line skirt with a chapel-length train will definitely make you feel royal, and it even has pockets that I used to hold kleenex, phone, and lip gloss on the day of the wedding.
For me, the fitted-waist, big-skirt cut of the dress was key to feeling both beautiful AND comfortable throughout a night of eating wedding food!
Alterations: The original size 8 dress was just a little too big for me on top (I'm 5'4", 135lbs, 34B). The sides of the bodice were taken in, the waist was taken in a tiiiny bit, the shoulder straps were shortened and 34B cups have been sewn in. The dress was hemmed to be worn with 3-inch heels, and a button was added at the waistline in order to bustle the train.
