Spring 2007 Collection
I knew I was going to wear a dress that was not traditional. As soon as I saw the French lace and tulle on this Carolina Herrara dress, I fell in love with it.
The dress is extremely simple, with layers of lace around the bust. It has an A-shape skirt. I am 5'2 and the dress was altered to my height while wearing heels. I believe it can work for someone as tall as 5'4 (+ heels), as well as shorter, of course, after more alterations.
The dress was professionally cleaned after my wedding, but that is about 10 years ago now, so you may want to have it cleaned again (and definitely have the lace and tulle pressed). I chose to wear it without a bra, but you can always wear a strapless bra underneath.
It is a simple, beautiful, lightweight dress for a woman who doesn't care about what everybody else thinks a wedding dress should be like, but knows in her heart what she wants.
