My dress was bought at a bridal boutique in St. Louis, Missouri. It was ordered and arrived several months later from New York. It was then sent to Chicago for alterations in the 4 weeks prior to my June 2015 wedding in Northern California. It traveled to California where it was worn for an indoor/outdoor ceremony and reception. There were no spills, tears, etc. to the dress at the event. The dress was taken to a dry cleaner immediately after the wedding and put through cleaning three times, per our request. It was also pressed, but it will need to be pressed again prior to wearing given the fabric. The dress is an ivory color, silk Dupioni ballgown with a built-in belt/sash and hidden pockets. It has silk covered buttons up the back with a hidden zipper. The dress was altered by a professional wedding dress seamstress. The dress was hemmed to accommodate my height with shoes (~ 5 foot, 4 inches). Each layer, including the slip, all layers of tulle, and the silk upper were hemmed appropriately. The straps were taken up about 1/8 of an inch. Finally, a bustle was added to the dress and remains intact.
