Beautiful Fitted Sparkly Lace 3D Floral Mermaid Wedding Dress with Detachable A-Line Overskirt
This dress was an absolute dream to wear. I thought having multiple layers and the detachable skirt would make it heavy, but it was not. I felt absolutely stunning in this dress and I know whoever buys it, will too!
It was comfortable, breathable, and I literally danced all night in it. I did not feel restricted sitting, getting up, walking, or anything. I loved the slight mermaid fit as well and it accentuated every curve I have - in a GREAT way!
Condition
This dress was professionally cleaned on 01/07/2022 and is in its original bag from the bridal store. It was cleaned by an organic dry cleaner, free of harmful chemicals or allergens. I bought the Badgley Mischka Dita Gown in July 2020 and my wedding was on December 2, 2021.
Alterations
I ordered a US Size 4 and it fit perfectly. No sizing alterations were done. The dress was purchased from Archive Bridal in Carlsbad, CA and the alterations were done in-house by one of the owners.
- They added cups and additional boning to hold my boobs in place - I am a 34DD - and it fit like a glove.
- They also made the shoulder straps permanent by sewing them on. I did this because when they were originally removable, and popped off too easily, and I did not want to deal with that happening at the wedding.
- I also altered the dress' train. The original dress had a train in addition to the removable skirt's train. The removable skirt has such a long and elegant train itself, that I did not need a train on the dress as well. The train was restrictive and didn't allow me to move/dance the way I wanted, so the seamstress cut the material to be floor length. I am 5'3" and wore Steve Madden 4" heels. The dress sat perfectly at my feet and I did not have to hold it up or move it to walk down the aisle or to dance.
I did not alter the removable skirt in any way and is included in the selling price of this dress.
