"Esmeralda" dress. Color: Ivory on nude lining. Illusion sweetheart neckline- still getting the strapless look without worrying about it staying up or needing uncomfortable boning. The dress is very comfortable!! The bottom is sheer starting a bit above the knee. The top layer is gorgeous lace with hand sewed floral appliques.
Wore for 2 hours to take photos, and that's it- no imperfections. Cost $6,700 for the dress and custom additions (not including alterations) + $300 for dry cleaning & preservation. Will ship in preservation kit- specific tissue paper, box, includes white gloves, etc. to keep it in perfect condition.
Alterations & Fit
Taken in all over - purchased size 8, but was taken down to about a 6 at first fitting. Lowered the back a bit. Added a tiny bit of lace between the bust so it wasn't so low cut. Slightly longer lace lining in the skirt (about 3") so it wasn't sheer starting so high up the thigh.
Measurements laying FLAT:
- Bust: 14.5"
- Waist: 13.5"
- Hips: 17.5"
Height Reference: I am 5'3", and I was wearing 4.5" heels. Laying flat, the dress was about 59" shoulder to hem.
