I wanted to feel like a princess on my wedding day. From the moment I put this dress on at Neiman Marcus, I did! Feminine, fabulous, romantic, and special - this Monique Lhuillier dress is the one I dreamed of as a little girl.
The dress is ivory with a gorgeous intricate flower-patterned lace overlay from top to bottom. A fitted, strapless top (with corset lining and padding) hugs you tight in the front and dips low in the back before it meets a silk waistband and bow. The back features a train that can be easily bustled via tie-ups sewn under the skirt.
The interior of the dress features multiple layers of petticoats and gives the bottom a gentle fullness that's flattering for nearly everybody's style.
My figure is a classic pear shape and this dress suited me beautifully; it's a flattering and forgiving silhouette. Timeless and chic, this vintage Monique Lhuillier dress is just as fashionable and sophisticated as it was the day I purchased it.
This dress was professionally dry-cleaned and preserved within days of my wedding and was only removed from its packaging for these photos. After removing the dress from its packaging, there is some discoloration/yellowing under both of the arms. It is only visible when your arms are lifted in the air.
This label size 12 dress nearly fit me perfectly off the rack and the only alterations to the dress were made to fit my upper body and chest so I would not need to wear a bra with it. I would say it fits more like a size 10, off-the-rack dress.
