This is a really special vintage wedding dress, circa 1930, purchased at a boutique in Chicago. The dress is a two-piece ensemble: a gorgeous satin slip with embroidery along the bust, that sits underneath a sheer ("barely there") v-neck organza dress with flower detailing. The a-Line dress has a slight train (about 5 inches). The slip itself would be a lovely thing to continue wearing after your wedding day! I had the original dress altered to shorten the sleeves (which have delicate flower beading accents), shorten the train, and add an american bustle. I did not end up wearing this on my own wedding day, so it has no recent wear - and I also had it pressed after alterations so it would be fresh for its new owner! There are a few small marks on the bodice of the dress due to its age, pictured in photos here. if you're looking for a really special dress that tells a story, i love this look and would love to have the right person make it shine on their wedding day.
