Timeless Classic Sleeveless Lace Fit and Flare Wedding Dress with Scalloped V-Neckline and Double Keyhole Back
This gown was bought as a sample in 2019. It was worn twice - once for our 2020 COVID wedding ceremony, then once for our reception a year later.
This gown is lovely! It is form-fitting from the bust down to the hips in a mermaid-style fit. The bottom is more A-line, not as flared as some mermaids can be. The lace is my favorite part and it is everywhere! The tank sleeves, some of the (faux) plunge on the chest, and the double keyhole back are all just lace, then the rest of the gown it is overlaying ivory fabric underneath. The back is the other part of this dress that I really fell in love with. The triangular spaces of the back followed by a cascade of button details down the train - beautiful! Bustles up beautifully as well.
Alterations: This dress is a size 4 in bridal. I am a size 6 normally, so it was let out around the bodice to fit properly. Cups were sewn into the bust. About 2 inches were hemmed from the bottom to avoid excessive trailing (I am 5'7", 135lb, and wore 2.5in heels with the gown). I also had some beaded detailing added along the neckline in silver and white. See photos for an up-close shot of this.
Condition: It was professionally cleaned twice, and since the reception in 2021 has been safely stored in its restoration box. There is mild pilling along the bottom lace edges likely just from where the gown touches the floor. Otherwise, there are no flaws that I know of.
