This is a beautiful Marchesa Wedding Gown. A-Line with a fully hand-beaded top and sash with pearls and Swarovski crystal elements. It has been worn once for our wedding on November 7, 2015. The bodice and skirt of the gown has a silk tulle overlay with a fully laced gold gown underneath. The underlay is the most beautiful fabric and hard to convey in pictures. The tulle train looks lovely down the aisle, and has a small button to keep it lifted. A french bustle was added for ease of walking at reception (see pics). The buttons are under the dress and cannot be seen when bustled. Measurements: (Please note this dress is a flexible style so measurements are as close as possible). Bust: 37" Waist: 32" Hips: 39" There are three significant alterations that make this dress unique. Professional Cleaning and restoration has been performed. Tulle: I removed the top layer of the sheer silk tulle on the front of the dress and gathered it a bit at the waist on the right and left side so that the gold underlay is more prominent in person and pictures than the original design. It is simply stunning to be able to see the fabric underneath. There is a slight stain on the bottom underlay on the dress but it cannot be seen with tulle over it. Dress Size: I ordered a size 16 but was a size 6/8 by my wedding so the dress has been altered accordingly. I would suggest purchasing if you are a size 6/8 or lower so that the dress will fit well and/or could be altered for you. Dress Length: I am 5'4'' and wore 3" heels so I would suggest being of similar height or slightly taller if you do not plan to wear heels. You will see how the dress was taken up from underneath in the silhouette picture. Cleaning: The dress has been professionally cleaned, repaired, and preserved by J.Scheer & Co. in New York City. I am happy to provide the dress report and guidelines for wearing via email or upon purchase.
