Timeless and Elegant with a Flattering Fit
This is a size 8 August Jones Marilyn dress with a sweetheart neckline (the design is usually straight across). The back is sheer with buttons.
I loved the simple, classic style and gorgeous buttons down the back. It is in great shape with a few very minor alterations:
- Bustle: I added a simple, one-button bustle in the back for pinning up the train.
- Hem: I had it hemmed about 2 inches - I am 5'6" and wore two-inch heels and it just touched the floor.
- Crinoline: I also removed the three layers of crinoline from the lining for a more casual A-line look (you could easily add some back if you wanted some more structure).
I didn't alter anything at all on the top of the dress.
