Monique Lhuillier’s ‘Cypress’ dress is an ivory/silver embellished metallic chantilly lace drop waist corset bodice embellished with flowers trickling onto a full A-line tulle skirt. The corset bodice is constructed like all of Monique Lhuillier’s famous fitted corsets with strict attention to detail and elegant, couture-quality construction. In this case, it is not a standalone corset but attached to the skirt, which allows for the dramatic and elongated drop waist effect (wherein usually the skirt would need to cover the base of the corset). The full and cascading tulle skirt is luxe, ethereal, and elegant.
