Vera Wang describes the dress as a "strapless modified mermaid gown with lily of the valley embroidery and criss cross grosgrain detail." The fabric is ivory silk. The gown has a train, which you can see in the photos. The dress was professionally altered to fit a street size 0 / 2. I am a little over 5'4" and wore 2.5-inch heels on my wedding day. The tailor also added a bustle for the train and removed some ribbon bow ties from the back of the dress. The dress was worn in October 2011 and was professionally dry cleaned afterward. I recently inspected the dress, and there are no signs of damage, stains, or tears.
